Cindy’s 30th Birthday

In honor of the birthday girl’s favorite color all the guests wore yellow.
As an event planner, I’m sometimes surprised by the serendipitous moments that reveal treasures in my own backyard. For a 30th birthday celebration, my client was excited to serve Indonesian cuisine. A random article lead me to Orchid Flower, an Indonesian restaurant. Although the restaurant had closed I was able to track down the previous owner and chef, Wiwi Harison. Wiwi spontaneous said yes and catered a spectacular Indonesian supper! To this southern girl, her food is life-changing!
The Orchid, Wiwi’s catering company is opened for businesses.
Menu: Nasi Liwet (rice cooked with coconut milk, shallot, garlic, kaffir leaves, lemongrass)
Acar Kuning (pickled vegetables)
Sambal Goreng (beef and potato cooked in coconut milk, red chili and tropical spices)
